ANNUAL YAARAB SHRINE CIRCUS & CARNIVAL
MHB Amphitheatre Announces 2008 Concert Series Warmer weather is just around the corner and that means another exciting season of concerts at the Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre! The Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre introduces three new Summer Concert Series presented by Malon D. Mimms Company and Waverly Renaissance ; a Country Nights series, Rockin Nights series and a Summer Stars series. There will be five concerts in each series, for a total of 15 great summer performances. Our Country Nights series will kick-off the summer on May 2. The series will feature new artists as well as the established country music performers we all know and love!
The Rockin Nights series will focus on classic rock bands from the 70s and 80s. We’ll be bringing in bands whose hit songs we all remember!
Season ticket packages offer the best available seating. Each year Season Ticket holders are offered the first option to purchase tickets, the first option to improve the location of their seating, and the option to add additional season ticket seats. Season ticket prices are offered at a 20% discount off individual ticket prices, essentially, it’s a buy four, get one free deal! Tables, which seat four, are $1,200 per series. Center, Terrace 1 seats are $180 per ticket, per series. Terrace 2 seats are $155 per ticket, per series and Lawn seats are a terrific bargain at only $80 per ticket, per series. Season tickets will go on sale at the Mable House Barnes Box Office to 2007 Season Ticket holders on March 31. Season tickets will go on sale to past patrons of the amphitheatre on April 7 and to the general public on April 14. Single ticket sales for individual concerts will go on sale at a later date. For the best available seating options, call to reserve tickets as soon as possible. Orders may be placed by mail, fax or by calling the Amphitheatre Box Office, (770) 819-7765. The Show Business/Special Events Division team is the management company for the Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre. If you have any questions about the summer series, sponsorship opportunities, or the pre-sale opportunity, please call at (770) 819-7765. We hope you'll join us for starry summer nights, cool concerts and hot performers at Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre in 2008! Local

Mable House-Barnes Amphitheatre | April 3-13 Theatre Performance |
'The Captain's Tiger' presented by the Theatre Project's Spotlights. On
board the SS Graigaur a young sailor begins to pen his first novel. Assisted
by his muse, a portrait of his mother comes to life, and supported by
his friend, an illiterate ship's mechanic, he struggles to balance romance
and reality. This most personal of Athol Fugard's works is strictly autobiographical;
at twenty he abandoned his university education, hitchhiked up Africa
and ended up on a tramp steamer in Port Sudan. This play reflects his
attempts to come to terms with the conflicting emotions evoked by memories
of his courageous mother and flawed father. |

'Seussical' presented by the Theatre Project's Footlights A musical
extravaganza by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, who have lovingly brought
to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the
Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, Lazy Mayzie and all of the Whos of Whoville!
These classic, colorful tales are seamlessly brought together by Jojo,
a young boy and “thinker of strange and wonderful thinks”! As each story
unfolds you will marvel at how relevant and profound Seuss’s subtle themes
are; making this musical one that appeals to all ages. All Tickets $5.00 (Children 12 and under are free!) |
