Milford Park Umpire to Call Little League World Series When you start watching the 2008 Little League World Series on TV and say “Hey that umpire looks familiar.” Your intuition will be correct. District 2 umpire Don Dozier, who umpires many games for Milford Park Little League, has received an invitation to umpire the Little League World Series - the ultimate assignment for a youth baseball umpire. Don's involvement began when his son started playing baseball in Smyrna in 1995. Don's many accomplishments include becoming a district umpire 1996, state instructor in 1998, umpire-in-chief for the district in 2004 and becoming a southern region umpiring instructor in 2005. Cobb County Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs congratulates Don Dozier for being selected for the Little League World Series!!!! Adult Softball/Kickball Registration Is Here Registration is here for the 2008 adult spring/summer softball and kickball leagues. Teams returning from the spring 2007 season can now register online for the same league from February 11-15. Contact your athletic coordinator to obtain your PIN and ID numbers. Walk-in registration will be February 18th from 6:00pm-8:00pm and February 19th from 6:00pm-7:00pm at the parks administration offices. New team registration will be February 21st from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the parks administration offices. The fees for softball are $455 for slow pitch and $540 for fast pitch.
