Cobb Gymnasts Help Out During the Holidays

In lieu of Secret Santa gifts to each other, Cobb Challengers Gymnastics Club participated for the second year in an Angel Tree, sponsored by the Heritage Presbyterian Church.  The project was coordinated by Susan Korbett, a parent in the club.  The  gymnasts and their families were able to sponsor 15 children and provide toys and clothes for those less fortunate during this holiday season.  Cobb Challengers consists of boys' and girls' competitive teams, AAU as well as USA Gymnastics, and has a membership of approximately 110 gymnasts that train and compete at the Cobb Gymnastics Center.  This was a great way for these athletes to give back to the needy in our community during this holiday season.

The Cobb Gymnastics Center is located behind the Cobb Civic Center in the Larry Bell Fitness Complex near the intersection of  South Marietta Parkway and Fairground Street. Classes are offered year round at the Gymnastics Center and offered during the school year at Ward and Fullers Recreation Centers. The Cobb Gymnastics program offers a variety of instructional classes for boys & girls including preschool classes for ages 2-5; boys, girls, and cheer gymnastics classes for ages 5 and up; high school classes for girls who compete on high school teams; and adult tumbling classes. Whether you want to learn gymnastics at a beginner level, or are more advanced and would like to improve your skills, a class is offered for you

General Information
Pre-School, Boys, Girls, and Cheer Gymnastics students must meet the MINIMUM AGE requirements for class by the beginning of the session. Some levels require instructor placement. Students must master certain skills in order to move up in level.
