Springs Community Task Force
The
vision of the Powder Springs Community Task Force is
an integrated team of concerned and caring citizens
partnered with schools, civic groups, community, and
business leaders in developing tangible solutions, opportunities,
support, and resources which enhance the quality of
life in the Powder Springs Community. The mission is
to create and maintain a collaborative effort that;
empowers families, strengthens communities, and engages
youth to be committed in making a difference in communities
and allowing all to live with limitless opportunities.

Powder Springs Community Task Force meets the 4th Monday
of each month from 6:30pm - 8:30pm at the Ron Anderson

Girl
Scouts
The
Ron Anderson Recreation Center has several Girl Scout
troops that meet at uses the facility as a meeting location.
Girl scouting builds girls of courage, confidence
and character, who make the world a better place. Girl
scouting helps girls develop leadership, decision-making
and planning skills at a young age. It also gives girls
the opportunity to get involved in community service
and to see the benefits of helping others. For more

Ron Anderson Recreation Center in collaboration with
The Powder Springs Community Task Force are helping
girls in the Powder Springs Community establish Goals
for Success! The monthly life skills program is designed
to develop the awareness and understanding of middle
school age girls on the importance of establishing goals

(Young Men Of Cobb: Tomorrow's Future (ages 12-18)
Y.M.O.C.
is a mentoring program that is designed to allow young
men in the community to receive individualized mentoring
that will consist of educational workshops, recreational
activities, community service projects, and awesome
