Y.M.O.C (Young Men Of Cobb: Tomorrow's Future

(ages 12-18)

Y.M.O.C. is a mentoring program that is designed to allow young men in the community to receive individualized mentoring that will consist of educational workshops, recreational activities, community service projects, and awesome life experiences. All interested males please come to Ron Anderson Recreation Center on Monday September 1, 2008 at 6:30pm for an orientation meeting

Read to Me (Story-time) (age 2-6)

Do you remember how it felt to have your favorite story read to you? Bring your children out to experience story hour. We will read a story, watch a movie, and have a snack! Come and enjoy the show. Parents must attend.

Ron Anderson Recreation Center Academy
(age 5-17)

The RARC Academy is a structured program designed to promote a spirit of cooperation, build self-esteem, encourage healthy competition and develop lifelong recreational interest among all program participants. It will also provide tutorial, mentoring and reading into this program, which creates an opportunity for the children to complete their homework, increase their reading skills and develop leadership skills through positive mentoring.

Let The Teens Talk (Ages 13 - 18)

Come enjoy a night designated for teenagers' ages 13 to 18 years of age to socialize and interact with their peers. Teens are invited to discuss different topics that affect their everyday lives . This is a free event that will start at 6PM and ends promptly at 9PM.

Ballet, Tap and Jazz Dance Class (ages 3-12)

Come learn the art of ballet, tap and jazz dances. These classes are for beginner dancers from ages 3 to 12. Students who continuously attend dance classes until May will have the opportunity to participate in a dance recital next spring! Call 678-324-7350 or 770-896-6347 for additional information.

*** Students of this class need to come to class in leotard and tights. Each child must also provide own ballet and tap shoes. ***

Beginner Guitar Lessons –Level 1 (ages10+)

The class introduces beginning level skills in a progressive manner on all pieces of apparatus. This class is designed for teaching beginner guitar skills as well as the student getting familiar with the actual guitar itself. Classes are being offered in English and Spanish.

Kids Life Net “Great and Giving Hands Tour

The Kids life Net T'ween Ministries “Great and Giving Hands Club” is for kids ages 8-13. This dynamic group will meet twice monthly to plan and execute volunteer activities that serve the elderly residents of Powder Springs, the Ron Anderson

Chicago Style Stepping   Ages:16 and up

Chicago Steppin' originated in Chicago and gained its popularity with the hit song “Steppin in the name of love.” Steppin' has since swept the country. Steppin' as it's called; is a dance consisting of two or more people dancing in synchronization. Chicago Steppin' also promotes a healthy and active lifestyle alternative. The class combines music, social interaction, fun and exercise. This is an exciting dance to learn, even for those who insist they have two left feet or no rhythm. This class is for people of all ages and there is NO PARTNER NECESSARY!

Hip Hop Dance Class Ages: 6 and up
Need some Hip Hop in your step? Whether you want to brush up on your moves and learn something new or perfect your craft, this class is meant for you! Ron Anderson Recreation Center is now offering Hip Hop Dance classes for the Ladies and Gentlemen, ages 6 and up! This is a high energy, fun filled dance class, incorporating new and old school moves!  Get ready to come and show what you got!  Come dressed comfortable with sneakers or tennis shoes.
