Kennworth has 8 lighted hard courts and a pro-shop
building. Located in northwest Cobb, Kennworth
is convenient to the Town Center area of Cobb.
Kennworth has a growing junior development program
and is host to several tournaments though-out the
year.

to play tennis!!!! We offer tennis classes
for entry level beginners. If you ever wanted
to learn to play tennis, this is where you begin.

Kennworth
Pro Provides Free Elementary School Clinics
On
Februray 13th and 14th Kennworth Tennis Center Head
Tennis Professional William Fawcett was invited to Baker
Elementay School to give tennis lessons in the PE classes.
Coach William gave approximately 250 2nd, 3rd, 4th,and
5th graders tennis lessons during those two mornings
and many of them experiencing tennis for the first time.
The kids had a great time and William always enjoys
going to Baker to help give children an opportunity
to experience tennis! Coach William is owner and director
of Premier Tennis Academy based out of Kennworth Tennis
Center and has been giving free lessons at schools
the past 10 years in PE classes and ASP Programs. Premier
Tennis Academy is currently a Partner In Education with
Baker Elementary School.

+ Pro Drills Offered at Kennworth Tennis Center
 Head
Tennis Professional William Fawcett is now offering
3 + Pro Drills in the morning at Kennworth Tennis Center.
These small group lessons are available Mondays, Tuesdays,
Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:00am-10:00am and 10:00am-11:00am.
The cost is $15 per player.
These
drills involve 3 players approximately the same level
splitting the cost of a private lesson and we work on
the needs of the three individuals as a group. For example;
one person wants to work on serves, the second volleys,
and the third overheads. We spend about 15 minutes working
on each stroke. The final 15-20 minutes is playing out
doubles points with the pro (William) as the fourth
player and we work on strategy, shot placement, and
doubles movement.

Reservation Form - use this form to request
a site as your courts for your league team for the
upcoming season.
Rules
and Regulations - rules and policies
for all teams participating at a Cobb County park
tennis facility. All team members are required
to be aware and abide by the rules.
Team
Practice Request Form - for teams requesting
a regular weekly time for team practice. Fees
must be paid when submitting the form. Check
with facility manager for availability.

the Kennworth Staff
Mark
Kirk - Facility Manager
Mark
has worked for the Cobb tennis program for 20+ years
with experience as a facility manager and teaching professional.
He has previously managed Terrell Mill Tennis Center
and has taught at Fair Oaks and Kennworth Tennis Centers.
He is a certified USTA tournament official.
William
Fawcett
- Staff Professional
William
is certified with the USPTA and is also a member of
Georgia Professional Tennis Association (GPTA). He played
tennis at the University of Findlay and has been teaching
tennis for the past 12 years. William has taught many
students ranging from beginners to high school tournament
players. He has taught City Championship teams and tournament
players ranked in the state, south
and nation. He has helped students reach the college
level. |
