Please
join us in welcoming our new Community Partner! The
Men of Alpharetta-Smyrna Alumni (“ASA”) Chapter of
Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. have partnered with
us to facilitate their National Guide Right Program
for Youth. The Guide Right Program is a
mentoring, academic improvement and personal development
program for at-risk middle school and high school
age males.
The
in-depth concepts of Guide Right Program is summarized
as follows:
To help youth
of middle school and high school age with their educational
interest compatible with their aptitudes, interests,
and personalities.
Assist students
with training that leads to employment experience
that strengthens their career options.
Assist parents
by providing their children with positive role models.
Inform youth
of the values of higher education; provide exposure
to colleges and assistance in completing applications
and landing scholarships.
Future
“Guide Right Program' a ctivities to be held at the
Fair Oaks Recreation Center include tutoring, career
planning workshops, reading group discussions, public
speakers, campus tours, fishing trips, sporting events
and more .
They
usually meet on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month
so look for future events and come and get involved!!!
